About Ron Swearingen:
After discovering pastels during his study of Rangeland Management at the University of Wyoming, Ron became inspired by the state’s beauty, history, and vast western culture.
Working primarily in pastels (and sometimes oils), his work spans landscapes, western scenes, animals, and industrial art. He’s known for bold designs and impactful color schemes. Awards include Best Pastel at the 2024 Western Spirit Art Show and Best of Show at the 2023 Western Spirit Art Show.

Every first Friday of the month, Cheyenne galleries, businesses, and other venues open their doors to showcase regional visual artists and musicians. During this unstructured event, Artwalk patrons have the opportunity to walk, bike, or drive to various other venues, discovering the creativity of our city and engaging with the artists themselves.
